Boston and shattering a MSM gun meme

Teach them properly, Major.

Glory 1989

It’s Monday so of course Morning Joe continues to rant about the gun bill, making the case to their niche audience that there is a connection to Boston. As tenuous as this idea is to anyone paying attention for the low info voter it might have played if Boston didn’t shatter some of their illusions, such as clip limits.

For a couple of months we were told how nobody needs more than 15 round clip magazine or less to stop an intruder. For the low information voter who has never held a gun, fired a gun it made sense.

After all they’ve been treated to Hundreds of House of Movies when with a single clip usually only 7 rounds or less. It doesn’t take more than one clip magazine for a single person to hold off a bad guy.

That business managed to sell in Colorado, Maryland & New York before the low information voter got a peek at Boston.

To the low information voter this was the ultimate reality show, Survivor meets NCIS. They were glued to their set and what did they see? They saw police officers involved in firefights with suspects without the normal filters of the media.

And just like that TV viewers en mass were treated to a basic fact about guns. If someone is shooting back, it’s a whole new ballgame.

If cops who have regular access to firing ranges and police training couldn’t finish these guys off, how confident do you feel about your pistol or rifle if you only have 15 rounds to defend yourself against an intruder?

Over time with the strength of the media & the culture the gun grabbers of the left might be able to re-sell that fantasy, but for now at least the illusion is shattered and no about of chest beating on Manchin/Toomey will change it.

And incidentally it suggests my own plan to stop school shootings would be enough to hold off a shooter till the cavalry arrives.

Update: Speaking of shattering a meme:

The suspected terrorists accused of bombing the Boston Marathon, killing a police officer and shooting it out with cops in the streets of Watertown did not have licenses for their guns, an official tells the Associated Press:

Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas tells The Associated Press in an interview Sunday that neither Tamerlan Tsarnaev nor his brother Dzhokhar had permission to carry firearms.

More than 200 rounds of ammunition were fired during the shootout with cops in the wee-hours of Friday morning after the suspects had reportedly killed Sean Collier, a 26-year-old campus policeman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, and carjacked the driver of a Mercedes SUV.

Amazing what Robert Stacy McCain can do with three paragraphs of just facts.

Update 2:  I’ve been emphatically informed I should have put “magazine” vs “clip” corrected.

We’re in day two of our new week and the $300 paycheck is at $2.

That might seem discouraging at first but I recall last week I was at $26 when the floodgates opened.
